Since inception of the Corporation, the seeds produced and procured by OSSC are being marketed by the Director of Agriculture & Food Production, Odisha, Bhubaneswar through Departmental Sale Centres located at block levels.

As per the agreed Action Plan of National Seed Project-III, OSSC created Dealers Network and channalised sale of seeds through them in addition to sale of seeds by the D.A.& F.P., Odisha, Bhubaneswar. However, sale of seeds through Dealer’s Network was stopped from Rabi 2003-04 to Rabi 05-06. Govt also allowed dealer sale from Kharif 2006. Again, the Govt. has allowed sale of seeds through Dealer’s Network at Panchayat level from Rabi, 2006-07. The dealers are selected by the concerned Collectors and appointment is made at OSSC level.
